LAX-Puerto Penasco flights to begin

AeroMexico's regional airline Aerolitoral will launch Oct. 30 a nonstop flight between LAX and Puerto Penasco, a resort destination north of the Gulf of California, according to an announcement from the Mexico Tourism Board.
AeroMexico had been negotiating with Los Angeles World Airports, owner of LAX and LA/Ontario International Airport, to decide which airport the flight would connect to.
During negotiations, representatives with the airline said they expected to fly a 33-seat plane three times a week between Southern California and Puerto Penasco.
